Artist Statement:

John Zhao, began his art studies at very early age. He was accepted by the Fine Arts School Affiliated to China Central Academy Fine Arts in Beijing. Four years later, then he went on to pursue further studies at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, majored in oil painting.

Over the last two decades, He has lived and worked in Canada and Italy. He followed his mentor who was Pietro Annigoni's student to study the pure Florence Renaissance Technique in Italy.
